The judge granted the injunction but it will expire soon. Why should I bother filing an appeal?
With some people, given the stigma associated with Domestic Violence, it necessary to “clear the record” and have a clear determination that the Injunction was improperly granted. Appellate courts respect this concept, and will enter an order retroactively reversing an improperly granted Domestic Violence Injunction even if the Injunction has already expired.
